Vin gris

Vin gris wines are made by directly pressing blue grapes without maceration. This creates a very light pink wine. The resulting rosé is usually lighter than the rosé made by limited maceration or the saignée method. In France, these Vin gris wines may only be produced from lightly tinted blue grapes such as Cinsault, Pinot noir, Gamay and Grenache gris.
