Must weight

Must weight’ is a measure for the amount of sugar in the must. The heavier the must, the more sugar it contains. When the ‘must weight’ is 1080 gr/L, this means it contains 80 grams of sugar per liter. The sugar content (and therefore density) of the must can expressed in degrees Brix, Baumé or Oechsle.
